The Opportunity

We are hiring for an existing client, a SaaS and Data company with market leading brand and customer base. The proposition empowers businesses to leverage advanced data insights to manage risk, optimize operations, drive sales and uncover growth opportunities.

Working with clients globally, across a wide range of industries including finance, retail, manufacturing, and more, the Senior Business Consultant will hold a pivotal role in the company and with clients.

The role of Senior Business Consultant is a critical new hire for the company as the company seeks to build even deeper relationships with both new and existing clients. They will be at the forefront of the customer engagement and will build trust as they assume the role of trusted advisor working closely with both business and technical teams to drive successful long term client business and revenue.

 

The Role

1. Solution Consultancy and Pre Sales:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand the prospective clients’ business challenges, objectives, and pain points.
  • Analyze client requirements and map their needs to the appropriate solutions, delivering tailored product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Provide expertise on how solutions can be integrated into the client’s existing technology stack and workflows.

2. Product Demonstration:

  • Conduct live and virtual product demonstrations to showcase how data and analytics solutions can solve the customer’s specific business problems.
  • Customize presentations and demos based on client industry, needs, and technical requirements.
  • Address technical questions and provide a deep understanding of the product’s architecture, functionality, and capabilities.

3. Proposal Development:

  • Work closely with the sales team to develop proposals and proof-of-concepts (POCs) that align with client needs.
  • Create detailed solution architecture and value propositions tailored to each client.
  • Assist in the development of RFP/RFI responses by providing technical and strategic input.

4. Business/Technical Expertise & Consulting:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospective customers, helping them understand the capabilities, implementation steps, and ROI of solutions
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitors’ offerings to clearly differentiate our solution from the competition.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and ensure product enhancements align with market demands.
  • Attend industry events and seminars including as a speaker and subject matter expert

5. Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders including business leaders, IT teams, and C-suite executives.
  • Manage complex client engagements, working with cross-functional teams (sales, product, engineering, legal) to align the client’s needs with solution offerings.

6. Transition to Implementation:

  • Facilitate a seamless handover of new clients to the implementation and customer success teams, ensuring that project goals and customer expectations are clearly defined and documented.

The Person

  • 10 plus years experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting, or business analysis experience in a SaaS, data analytics, or business intelligence environment.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, business intelligence platforms, and their role in solving business problems.
  • Demonstrable experience with SaaS products, especially in the fields of risk management, compliance, business data, or market insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and proposals.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to quickly assess client needs and formulate innovative solutions.
  • Customer-focused with a genuine interest in understanding and solving customer challenges.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch / Flemish
